Hero MotoCorp has announced the appointment of Harshavardhan Chitale as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer. In this role, he will be responsible for steering the company’s overall strategy, driving sustainable growth, and strengthening its leadership position across domestic and global markets.

Harshavardhan brings decades of global leadership experience spanning technology, manufacturing, and operations. Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, he served as CEO - Professional Business at Signify, where he led the global professional lighting business with annual revenues of approximately €4 billion. He was also a Member of the Board of Management at Signify N.V., contributing to strategic direction at the enterprise level.

Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at HCL Enterprise, Honeywell, and Tata Administrative Services (TAS), building deep expertise in transformation, innovation-led growth, and global business operations.

With a strong track record in leading complex, global organizations, Harshavardhan’s appointment is expected to further strengthen Hero MotoCorp’s strategic roadmap amid rapid industry transformation.
