NVIDIA and Synopsys Inc. have announced a multiyear strategic partnership aimed at redefining engineering, simulation, and system design at global scale. By combining GPU-accelerated computing, agentic AI, and high-fidelity digital twins, the two companies plan to address the rising complexity and shrinking time-to-market facing industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, and industrial engineering. Strengthening this collaboration, NVIDIA has also confirmed a $2 billion investment in Synopsys through the purchase of common stock.
Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized that CUDA GPU acceleration is revolutionizing engineering workflows, enabling simulation at unprecedented speed and scale, from atoms to transistors, chips, and full-system architectures. He highlighted the partnership’s ambition to create fully functional digital twins inside the computer, leveraging the combined power of accelerated computing and agentic AI.
Synopsys President and CEO Sassine Ghazi noted that next-generation intelligent systems demand deeper integration of electronics and physics, supercharged by AI capabilities and high-performance compute. He stated that the combined expertise of Synopsys and NVIDIA will deliver unmatched, AI-powered, end-to-end system design solutions, setting a new standard for innovation across engineering-driven industries.
