Mathew Thomas, Vice President & Managing Director for the Indian Subcontinent at Siemens Digital Industries Software, has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL), a Government of Tamil Nadu–promoted enterprise. The appointment marks a notable addition to TNPL’s board as it advances its modernization and sustainability agenda.

Mathew has been leading Siemens Digital Industries Software in the region for over three years, playing a critical role in driving growth, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening ecosystem partnerships. He brings more than eight years of leadership experience at Siemens, having earlier served as Country Sales Leader before being elevated to Managing Director.

Beyond Siemens, Mathew also co-chairs the CII Task Force on Technology Adoption, Digital Transformation, and Industry 4.0, reinforcing his influence across India’s industrial and manufacturing ecosystem.

His career spans senior roles across leading global and Indian organizations including EY, SAP, Oracle, Wipro, Tata Unisys, and Godrej Properties Limited. This diverse background equips him with strong strategic insight, operational rigor, and a broad industry perspective that will add significant value to TNPL’s governance.
