Bhilwara Energy Ltd. has announced the appointment of Basant Jain as its Joint Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership as it accelerates its clean-energy ambitions.

Basant brings deep expertise in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, with a proven track record of building and scaling large clean-energy platforms. Prior to joining Bhilwara Energy, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Mahindra Susten, where he played a pivotal role in developing one of India’s leading renewable energy businesses. During his tenure, he oversaw the execution of over 1,000 MW of solar projects, spanning both utility-scale and distributed energy segments.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Basant is the Founder of Aplos Ventures Private Limited, a firm focused on venture building and clean-energy advisory, supporting emerging opportunities in the energy transition ecosystem. He also holds a PGDBA-CFA in Finance from ICFAI Business School, equipping him with strong financial and strategic acumen.
