McDonald’s has appointed Saurabh Chakraborty as Senior Director & Head of AI Engineering, strengthening its focus on AI-led innovation and digital transformation across the global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) ecosystem. Based in India, Saurabh will define and execute McDonald’s global AI strategy, build world-class AI engineering capabilities, and lead the company’s AI Lab for research and development initiatives. He will also serve as a Technology Site Leader for McDonald’s global offices, driving innovations that leverage data and AI to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Saurabh brings over two decades of experience in AI, emerging technologies, cloud computing, and digital transformation. His previous roles include Vice President & Head of AI at SmartSoC Solutions, AVP & Head – Emerging Tech & AI/ML at Valtech, and leadership positions at KPIT Cummins, Fujitsu Consulting India, Capgemini, Mphasis, and Mindtree.
