Visionary Leader Pooja Vatsyayan has begun a new professional chapter as Vice President, Program and Commercialization Lead at Alkeus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., marking a significant leadership addition as the company advances innovative therapies for retinal diseases. In this strategic role, she will lead the integrated global program strategy and oversee cross-functional efforts to develop and commercialize gildeuretinol for Stargardt disease, ensuring strong alignment between clinical progress and market readiness.

Pooja brings deep global experience across the biopharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, having held impactful roles at Alkeus Pharmaceuticals, Alcon, Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi Genzyme, Bioverativ (a Sanofi company), Biogen, and Eli Lilly and Company. Her career reflects a rare combination of scientific rigor, commercialization expertise, and strategic leadership across complex global programs.

She is further supported by executive education from IIM Calcutta, strengthening her ability to bridge innovation, execution, and long-term value creation. In her new role, Pooja is expected to play a critical part in translating breakthrough science into accessible therapies for patients with degenerative retinal conditions.
