Mirror Security Raises $2.5M to Strengthen GenAI-Native Cybersecurity and Global Expansion Startup Stories

Mirror Security has secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding from Sure Valley Ventures (SVV) and Atlantic Bridge, marking a significant step toward advancing GenAI-native cybersecurity. The newly raised capital will be channelled toward expanding its engineering and AI security teams across Ireland, the US, and India, accelerating innovation in encrypted inferencing, secure fine-tuning, and boosting its push into the US enterprise market.

Founded in 2024 by Pankaj Thapa and Aditya Narayana K, Mirror Security emerged as a research-driven spin-out from University College Dublin. The company focuses on encrypted data protection and robust AI-native security for enterprises adopting advanced AI systems.

Its unified “Security of AI” platform brings together multiple specialised tools: AgentIQ, offering full-spectrum agentic security; DiscoveR, an automated red-teaming solution for continuous AI testing; and VectaX, a cutting-edge Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) engine that enables sensitive data to be processed without ever being exposed.

Mirror Security recently signed a strategic agreement with Inception AI, a G42 company, enabling deployment of its full AI security suite across enterprise and government clients. Additional collaborations with Intel, MongoDB, Qdrant, SiSys AI, and Accops further strengthen its ecosystem and market reach.
